What are modules?
Our Training is based on modules. We place you with employer partners and between you, your CSTA leads, and your supervisor we move you through the program. Skills and knowledge transfer relevant to the trade are taught by 'doing it' vs. reading about it. Generally speaking, a module is a component that can be separated and interchanged with other components in a larger structure.
Okay, so what is modular training?
In the context of our training, a module is a specific skill or group of related skills that are taught together. Each module builds on the skills learned in the previous modules. Like bricks in a wall, each brick builds upon the one below it, and they are all necessary to create the wall.
What does this look like in real life?
Each of our modules is part of a "stream" that leads to mastering that specific trade. For example, the Forming stream is FORM. Starting with FORM #1, working through all the FORM modules will lead to final course completion. However, there may also be a few "cross-pollination" modules required for completion. This ensures understanding of your trade and what effects it has on the trades that follow. For example, there is a flooring module for concrete certification as flooring follows concrete in a build. Concrete masters need to understand why they have floor flatness and level standards. It effects everything going on top of it.
Whichever stream is chosen, there will be a clear path to completion listing exactly which modules must be completed, as well as opportunity for expanding skills and knowledge by taking additional modules if so desired.

Step 1 - Contact us!
Step 2 - Our industry partner takes you to a real job site for the first module (CNT Mod #1), which is an introduction to the trade
Step 3 - If you liked being on a job site you continue through to the second module (CNT Mod #2), which is work experience
Step 4 - If you liked either Forming, Concrete, Tile Setting, or Flooring, then we put you into the "program" you want and continue on

- This takes approximately 2-3 hours
- This provides you with the opportunity to see if the trade might be something for you
Step 3 - If you liked being on a job site you continue through to the second module (CNT Mod #2), which is work experience
- No charge. No pay.
- The work experience module helps you make a more informed decision
- It also provides the crew and supervisor the opportunity to vet you as a fit for their crew
Step 4 - If you liked either Forming, Concrete, Tile Setting, or Flooring, then we put you into the "program" you want and continue on
- By this point, we are sure you will know whether you like trades or not
- If you liked being on the job, but weren't interested in either Forming, Concrete, Tile Setting, or Flooring, we can talk about other options
